What our transparency checks mean

Every job on NorthPath shows a few quick checks. They describe what the posting says. They are not a legal judgement about whether an employer follows the rules.

Salary posted

We show the pay range when the posting includes one. Hourly pay is shown per hour, and we also work out a yearly figure (40 hours a week) so you can compare jobs. If a Canadian role only lists pay in US dollars, we show it in USD with an approximate Canadian dollar amount, using the Bank of Canada's daily rate.

AI used in screening

  • Yes: the posting says software or AI helps screen or assess applications.
  • No: the posting says AI is not used in hiring.
  • Not stated: the posting doesn't say either way.

Existing vacancy

Some postings are for a role that's open now. Others collect applications for future openings, sometimes called a talent pool or pipeline. We show what the posting says, or "not stated".

Days open and reposts

We track how long we've seen a job, and whether the same employer closed and reposted a job with the same title within 90 days.

Stale

A job is marked stale when it has been open 60 days or more, or reposted at least twice. It may still be real, but it's worth asking the employer about it.

Why this matters

Since January 1, 2026, Ontario's job posting rules cover pay ranges, AI use in screening and whether a posting is for an existing vacancy. Our checks help you see this information at a glance, wherever the job is. Always read the employer's full posting before you apply.
